PRESCRIBING ON THE BASIS OF SOIL OF THE PATIENT

FEW DAYS AGO MY GURU PROF. L.M. KHAN SIR PRESCRIBED BACILLINUM LM1 IN A CASE OF BOY SUFFERING FROM IRREGULAR STOOL WITH CONSTIPATION ALTERNATING WITH LOOSE STOOL FOR 5 YEARS. GIVEN TO MY LITTLE KNOWLEDGE, THOUGH THE CASE TAKING WAS DONE BY ME BUT I COULD NOT FULLY UNDERSTAND THE BASIS OF PRESCRIBING EXCEPT F/H OF TUBERCULOSIS(FATHER) AND SUSCEPTIBILITY TO COLD. THAT PRESCRIPTION PERPLEXED ME FOR NEXT 2 DAYS. AFTER THAT I GOT THE OPPORTUNITY TO DISCUSS THE CASE WITH SIR. HE NICELY EXPLAINED SOME POINTS. HE SAID - DUE TO THE F/H CHILD HAD TUBERCULAR SOIL OR DIATHESIS. BOY WAS HAVING FAIR COMPLEXION WITH RED LIPS AND SULKY IN NATURE. IN EARLY CHILDHOOD HE WAS TUTORED BY HIS MATERNAL AUNTY WHO WAS VERY STRICT THAT DEVELOPED A KIND OF FEAR FROM HER IN THE MIND OF THE BOY. INSPITE OF BEING SINCERE, BOY GRADUALLY DEVELOPED AVERSION FROM STUDY AND SCHOOL. I SALUTE TO THE KIND GESTURE OF THE SIR THAT HE SHOWED ME THE REFERENCE OF RUBRIC FROM ESSENTIAL SYNTHESIS REPERTORY "SCHOOL, AVERSION TO". WHERE BACILLINUM IS ONE OF THE FEW DRUGS. AFTER THAT MY CURIOSITY WAS CALMED DOWN.

I PARDON FOR SPELLING MISTAKE IF ANY,

THANKING ALL, WITH REGARDS.

Dr. L. M. Khan
